East Borough Eatery

What used to be Bar 9 in Parkside has been replaced with a new cafe called 'East Borough Eatery'.  I loved Bar 9 and therefore had quite high expectations with this cafe.  The moment we stepped into the cafe, we were welcomed by friendly staff members.  The cafe has been replaced with simple designs, including furniture and light colours on the walls.  There are plenty of room.  The whole cafe seemed brighter than before.  That is what I loved about it.  All the staff were efficient and very attentive.

There is a great menu selection, ranging from the simple bakery section to the classics and pizzas.  Their prices are very reasonable too.

Baked eggs are always my favourite, pork and fennel sausages baked in a tomato and chilli sumo with silverbeet and white beans.  The flavours were all there and certainly ticked all the boxes for me, plenty of sauce to dip my crunchy sourdough bread.

Chunky bits of pork hock, with fried egg and bacon inside a black brioche bun was also to die for.  If you ask me, nope it certainly wasn't hard to eat.  I finished it in no time.

Special: Black Brioche Bun with pork hock

Another great find in the Eastern burbs, and yes we will be back!  Thanks East Borough! :)
