The north west is coming to life, what was once used to be an industrial has turned into newly developed area with modern apartments, community vegetable gardens and with a lot of market stalls and an adjacent IGA supermarket. The major focus is promoting locally grown and organic produce.
A very clever idea, an old building (maybe new but looks old) has been transformed into a vibrant atmosphere, with bars, market stalls, cafes offering quality ingredients and the different variety of the best food and wine. The building spreads over two levels, and all undercover, glass lifts to travel between the two levels. There is also live music too. If you have been to Market Shed on Holland, then you will know what it is all about, organic fruit and vegetables for your everyday grocery shopping. Cafes and many food stores, including drinks, an amazing choice of food from around the world at Plant 4 markets. Turkish, Mediterranean, Greek, Japanese just to name a few.
The adjacent IGA supermarket is opened everyday, but the food market opens twice weekly, on Wednesday night and during the day on Saturday. They are thinking of opening on a Friday night which I think would be a marvellous idea. Plant 4 Bowden is a great place to bring your family and friends together in a buzzing wonderful atmosphere.
