We ventured our way down South Melbourne and arrived at a cafe called St Ali. You really need to know the exact address in order to find it. There was no big signage on the main road. We arrived at what looked like a warehouse and there were a lot of people lining out the door. We thought that must be a good sign. It didn't take long before we got a table. It was an industrial look, with high ceilings, brick walls, light globes dangling from the ceilings and plenty of communal tables.
The staff at St Ali were very knowledgable with their coffee. The baristas are well trained to produce some of the highest quality coffee in Melbourne. If you are serious about coffee then I urge you to come and try their coffee.
I tried a vegan and gluten free option. Sago blended with a coconut yoghurt, mango, pineapple, vanilla and nut crumble. Not only did it looked pretty, but it was full of deliciousness and goodness. You don't have to get up in the early hours in the morning to enjoy this breakfast as they are served all day. Excellent!! I think it is the way it should be.
The cafe was very laid back, and the service was attentive. The cafe got busier from the time we went in to the time we left. This trendy cafe attracts a younger crowd. There are many items on the menu and it will attract a return from me.
