My last post before we step into 2017 and it's going to be a cafe located on Fullarton Road in Rose Park. Commissary is a newish cafe that is located right opposite Victoria Park. Very convenient indeed, after a stroll or a bike ride in the park then come across to enjoy some awesome food. There is plenty of street parking nearby.
Commissary is located underneath a tall rise apartment. It has a modern fit out with the use of wooden floors and wired frame chairs. It is always busy and being close to lunch time, there was just one table left for us. We were greeted by a friendly staff member whom kindly showed us to the table. There is also outdoor sitting with a nice view to Victoria Park.
There is a great range of freshly squeezed juices available. I had the tangy lips - ginger, apple and orange juice! Delicious goodness in a mason jar!
Open steak sandwich was always a winner, thinly sliced steak was cooked to perfection with haloumi cheese and two pieces of toasted bread.
I enjoyed eating my patty wrapped in a brioche bun. The only thing I could fault was the sweet potato chips on the side, it was soggy and tasteless. Perhaps my brioche bun was a little burnt on the edges too.
I think we will be back to try out more of the items on the menu, the service was quick and our tummies were full. What more could you ask for right?
