This cafe reminds me of Dear Daisy in Goodwood. It is near the tramline in the suburb of Glandore. It is a little boutique cafe that is bigger than it looks. The cafe offers breakfasts, simple lunch menus and for dinner also pizzas. There are also plenty of gluten free options too. We only tried out the breakfast items on the menu this time.
I wanted to try out the hollandaise sauce separately, so have asked for the chef to put the sauce on the side. Beautiful, now I must say not a lot of cafes can do a hollandaise sauce to my liking, but this one was spot on! Tender pieces of ham hock with perfectly poached eggs, a perfect eggs Benny well done!
Sometimes simple breakfasts are the best. Make up your own depending on what you feel like! Perfectly creamy scrambled eggs with fresh avocado..... yummmmmm!!!
The Empty Bottle cafe has a wood oven for pizzas, yup that's right a wood oven, all the way from Italy! I am still yet to try it. A very reasonably priced cafe with a decent range of choices to choose from. The staff are friendly and the coffee is great. Needless to say, we will be back for this one!
