Nowadays you hear about clean eating, here, there and everywhere. People are being more and more health conscious these days. There are more and more cafes opening where super food is served.
Vida Comida is no exception, it is situated in the busy Melbourne Street in North Adelaide. A little boutique corner cafe. There is a selection of healthy snacks, alternate light meals, super smoothies and of course my favourite, acai bowls.
They pride on their organic products which are all preservative / additive free, with no refined sugars.
For those of you whom know me, I am a true acai bowl fan. Acai bowls consist of acai berries which grow in the amazon floodplains and has a higher percentage of antioxidants compared to other berries.
We tried the immunity acai bowl which consisted of caramelised buckinis (buckwheat), banana, topped with a coconut nectar and sprinkled with coconut flakes. Not too sweet, just right. I also tried the energy bowl, where each piece of fruit was cut precisely. It consisted of caramelised buckinis, chia seeds, apples and strawberries finished off with coconut flakes. It was just the right amount of everything in one bowl. I was pretty satisfied.
Although I would say that the food took a while before it was brought to our table. It wasn't busy at the time.
At Vida Comida, you can enjoy a great selection of superfoods. From delicious super smoothies to paleo, vegan, dairy and gluten free products. There is something for everyone.
