There are plenty of nice cafes in Adelaide, and this one is no exception. It is located 5 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. If you venture down Queen Street, you will notice a big shed on your right. Walk 100m down from the car park and Entropy Cafe is in front of you. Don't under estimate the size of the shed, it is one big open area with a warehouse vibe.
One good thing about Entropy cafe is that they offer all day breakfast, therefore no need to rush out if you are not a morning riser, especially on weekends.
I decided to try something special that was not on their menu. It was recommended by one of the staff. Ocean trout fish cakes with poached egg and rye toast - the ocean trout was mixed in with sweet potatoes. It was delicious, fresh and sweet. Both the trout and the potato married well together. I loved the egg which was poached perfectly. The hollandaise sauce wasn't too rich either. Perfect!!
My partner had the grilled zucchini, with cheese on sourdough rye bread. It looked very healthy. The tomatoes were slow roasted and were different to the ones that we have tried at other cafes. It meant that the tomatoes were cooked all the way through absorbing all the spices. It was delicious. The cheese was from Kangaroo Island and Hughsli Egyptian dukah was served on the side.
We specifically came to Entropy for breakfast and were thoroughly pleased with the service, food and drink. We loved their use with local produce. We have noticed that they offer special paella nights and taco nights too. We must come back and try another day!
