I have heard mixed reviews about this place, so I decided to come and try out myself. It is situated in a perfect location opposite the casino on North Terrace. It has been advertised as an Argentinian restaurant. We booked a table through the online system. Upon arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff member, he offered us a table near the opened kitchen so we could watch the pig getting slow cooked on the stove. We declined as it was rather warm so we were seated at a table near the window and sitting on tall stools.
As expected there were a lot of meat items on menu. We ordered the mixed grill. This was definitely enough to share between two people. It consisted of beef, lamb and sucking pig. Apparently all the meat is cooked on a fire of smouldering wood and charcoal. Therefore there were beautiful smokey grilled flavours on the meat. The pork skin was a little chewy. We also ordered a serve of fritas which was hand cut potato chips with Argentinian spices. We didn't finish the chips as they were rather soggy.
One of us ordered the Angus steak, which was cooked to absolute perfection. There was nothing that we could fault for this plate. The meat was succulent, it was flavoursome.
Pork ribs arrived on a plate, but rather than a few, there was probably two. The meat almost melted off the bone. Smokey flavours were present but the honey glaze looked slightly burnt.
The setting of seeing the fire pit and meat cooked is quite spectacular. We didnt get any chimchurri sauce which is a bit disappointing for Argentinian. It is missing something though....
