Another new cafe has opened in the eastern suburbs. Doesn't the name sound so pretty itself? The Nourish'd Kitchen is located off Magill Road, not far from the city. It is a little cafe which sits approximately 20 people with a New York ambience. The moment I stepped into the cafe I was welcomed by the friendly owner. We sat down at the communal table in the middle. The use of light and white colour makes the cafe look very bright and clean. I loved the hanging menus off the front counter.
The Nourish'd Kitchen has an emphasis healthy unprocessed food. There is a fridge counter at the front where you can see the food that they have to offer. You can then pick your own combination. If you are unsure, the owner will be more than happy to give you a recommendation. It is as simple as one two three. Now for drinks, there was a range of cold pressed juices available as well as your hot beverages.
I picked the tumeric, carrot and ginger juice. It was healthy and refreshing, I loved the smell and the taste of ginger, seemed like all the vitamins were in that bottle. We made up our combination, green eggs with ham, pesto tomato, avocado with seed loaf. The avocado was just so fresh!! All food and drinks were served in eco paper ware. It was a bit strange because the cutlery was gold and non disposable. I am aware that all their food and drinks can be bought to go, however when dining in, I thought it was a bit awkward to eat out of a paper box. I am a bit worried about the use of disposable plates. The food was healthy and a lot of care seems to have gone into making the recipes. They have an emphasis on healthy take away. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast there. Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.
