Here we go again, we revisited Le Carpe Diem Creperie on Grenfell Street. Not much has changed. The cafe still looked similar to when it was first opened. The cafe was jam packed with customers this time. There was more staff on the floor to make it run efficiently. We had to sit upstairs. The menu had improved since the last time we were there. There were many savoury and sweet crepes to choose from. Even though there were many customers inside the cafe, the food and drinks arrived in a timely manner.
Pain au chocolat has always been my favourite item on the menu to order. Flaky layers of pastry with two dark chocolate in the middle.
We decided to order galettes this time instead of the sweet crepes, simple ham and cheese with a cracked egg on top. The good thing about the crepe is that they use buckwheat flour - a healthier option.
The second galette we had was the tomatoes, olives with caramelised onion. It was absolutely delicious. Everything was magnifique!!!
I have enjoyed my moments at Le Carpe Diem Creperie. Good thing that I live close by. Just an update of the latest opening hours, they are now closed on Tuesday as well.
