Check out this little cafe in the suburb of Payneham. You will find this in the corner of Devitt and Ashbrook Avenue in between houses. As soon as I stepped into this cafe, I thought I was going home. It has a very warm, homely feel. The cafe itself is not very big, but enough to sit 30 odd people. It is very cute, they offer cooking classes for little kids.
For breakfast, we ordered the smashed avocado. It was loaded with fresh avocado, mixed with herbs and zest. There was also some marinated fetta, and sprinkled with dukkah. I would have loved the spinach to be a little wilted. The size of this dish was definitely worth its money.
I have had green eggs and ham at other breakfast cafes before, but I must say this one is served a little differently. In fact, it was better than what I had expected. The scrambled eggs were creamy and fluffy, the green was a basil pesto which was super tasty. There is spinach and fetta on top of the toast too. A few slices of the bacon... well what can I say? It was very delightful to eat. If you are a vegetarian, you can opt for a mushroom option, they will happily replace the bacon with mushrooms.
Well, this little gem has been hidden away in the burbs.. but now I have found it. It's like a cafe heaven. They do not have an extensive menu, but the service and quality of the food is good. Yes it is definitely worth a visit.
