Good luck readers!! :)

Menulog gave us a voucher to try out the service a couple of weeks ago.  You may have heard menulog ads played over and over again on the radio.  Now who are they?  Menulog is an online take away restaurant in Australia.  They have over 3500+ restaurants and provide a food delivery service that is free to use.  It is literally just a few clicks away.  Let me show you how.

Tonight after my exercise run, we went onto menulog website on my computer.  We typed in our suburb and a whole list of restaurants came up.  The weather is freezing and we really felt like eating Thai.   You can select pick up or home delivery.  To start off all you need is a username and a password to create your online account, and this is as easy as one, two, three.  After that you are free to browse the website, because if you are not logged on, you cannot make any purchases.  You only have to do this once.

Sawasdee Thai Restaurant was the first one that came up, so we clicked ordered and chose our food.  The whole menu ranging from entrees to beverages was online.  It didn't take long before we made our order.  We clicked the plus sign and it adds the items to the right of the screen.  It also tallied up how much you have ordered, therefore you will know exactly how much you're spending.  A lot of the places have 25% off the first order, or loyalty credits after ordering several times.

The good thing about menulog is that you can purchase using your AMEX with no extra charge.

You can choose to have your food delivered now or at a specific time.  We were hungry, so we chose NOW!

We were lucky, this meal only costed us $3.60 as Menulog had paid for it all.

One more click, and our order was placed.  Now what to do next.

Within minutes, an sms was delivered to my mobile phone, and our dinner was coming in less than 45 minutes.  Yay, less than an hour, that was a bonus.

Roti dipped in curry tasted awesome.  $3 was for a piece was a little pricey.  Pandan chicken was juicy and full of flavours.  Prawn and pineapple curry was pretty much what it was.  There was no vegetables in this dish.  Spicy chicken had fungus and capsicum.  We just made our own steamed rice in the cooker.  For $30 odd dollars, this was not bad.  It would be different if you were to dine in the restaurant where the food would be presented better.

If you are on the run, why not use the menulog app on your iPhone or android devices?  The app is free and it is just as easy to use. You can order food on the way home and have it delivered at your door.
