The golf course has a long history, it is where the professional golfer Greg Norman won his first tournament. It is ranked in Australia's top 100 golf courses.
Near the east putting green is where the Grange Restaurant is located. There are prestigious panoramic views of the golf course, as you will be sitting up on the balcony or inside the restaurant. There are plenty of car park spaces.
First up was the grilled chicken served with some coconut rice. The chicken was spiced with mild satay sauce on top. It was a little heavy as an entree.
Next was the vegetable tart with balsamic reduction and rocket lettuce. It looked a little dry, but I did enjoy eating the mushrooms on top.
Another entree was the prawn cocktail served with fresh avocado, cherry tomatoes and lettuce. It was a very simple dish.
Main course was king fish fillet . The skin was crispy and the meat was tender. It was served with some mediterranean roast vegetables, parsley and salsa verde.
The beef fillet was my favourite, the presentation was amazing and the picture said it all. It was served with smooth garlic mash, steamed broccolini and mushroom. It tasted as good as it looked.
Dessert was creme brûlée. There was a contrasting layer of caramel on top. When I tapped the top layer with a spoon, I heard a crack. It was nice and thin just as how it should be. The custard was full of vanilla flavour. When matched with black currant sorbet and almond praline, it was devine.
Last but not least, there was the eton mess. It was pretty much strawberries, cream and meringue. This dessert didn't look pretty but it tasted very good.
There are two places for dining at the Grange Golf club, a bistro and the restaurant. Bistro offers lunch from Tuesday through to Sunday and the restaurant opens on Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner. Grange golf club offers several rooms to suit your liking, whether it is for a small function to even a wedding. The prices are very reasonable. Imagine the spectacular golf course views and modern Australian cuisine using local produce, how can you say no?
