Monsoon Indian Restaurant

Indian is definitely not my favourite cuisine.  I guess it is because I haven't had any good experiences in the past with Indian food.

The service was not so attentive.  We were seated down at the table and it was a while before the waiter came to take our orders.  There were a few people who walked into the restaurant, and had to wait a little before someone would come out and serve them.

I saw Mango Lassi on the menu and I knew I had to order it.  I don't think I have ever had a drink like this before whereby I could smell and taste the mango in every sip, there was certainly real mangoes in the drink.  It was almost like mango juice on its own.  I didn't dare to drink that much before the food came, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to eat my meal.

Beef Vindaloo was certainly very hot, I meant chilli hot.  It was so hot that my tongue started to burn.  The fish was cooked with mustard seeds, coconut and some Indian spices.  It was very tasty.  We ordered two serves of naan bread, the bread servings were rather big.  I think I should have asked before I ordered.  My eyes were bigger than my stomach.

Overall the food was not to my liking, my partner enjoyed it.  Naan bread was good and the service was average.
