Sometimes it's worth while going for a drive on a beautiful sunny afternoon along the beach. Driving passed all these boats, the entry to the restaurant was a little confusing. It was a yatch club, and there were two particular gates that we had to enter to get into the carpark of the restaurant. However once we were inside, there were plenty of parks and signs were everywhere to lead us the way to the restaurant. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and in fact they hold private functions including weddings. When we dined there, there was no wedding so they opened up the back and we could easily see the dance floor and the outdoor ceremony area. The whole view looking outside at the sea and all those boats was just breath taking.
The price for both the food and wine were very reasonable. A bottle of rose was the perfect way to start the meal. Bread and butter were brought to our table, however for a classy restaurant like this one, I wouldn't have expected those individual butters you get from Macdonalds.
Beautiful views with fresh and local produce!
Pork belly had skin that was crunchy, the meat was tasty. Scallop was cooked just right. The oysters were natural and fresh, seemed they just came from the sea. They were juicy.
Seafood marinara was a little let down, although I could taste the freshness of the seafood. There was just not much in there and certainly no wow factor. It seemed like home cooked pasta, mixed in with some seafood. I guess I expected more especially from a restaurant well known for its local and seasonal fresh seafood.
Meanwhile the lamb rack was delicious, it was cooked to medium. I guess with this dish it tasted better than it looked. The meat was very tender, and covered in dukkah.
The taste and the flavours were there, but all just lacked a little presentation. If I got served this food at the wedding, I would not be 100% satisfied. The service was absolutely superb though, we were well looked after throughout the night, and one of the waiter even chased us back to wish us a great weekend. Four daisies.
