+39 Pizzeria

There are too many restaurants in Melbourne, one of my favourite ones is the +39 Pizzeria.  I have been here quite a few times.  Everytime the standards remained very high, and never fail to disappoint me.  It didn't matter which night, they were always busy.  We made sure we had a booking.  The staff there were all so friendly.  I even picked up how to speak a little Italian there, and ordered my pizzas in Italian.  The guy who served us had a great sense of humour, he pretended that he didn't understand English, and made me order my food in Italian.  That was quite funny.

Great Italian find!!

I loved my prosciutto.  It was served with fresh Mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, it was delicious!  I just can't get enough of it.

The highlights were the pizza, there were many to choose from.  I loved my eggplants, and truffles.  Therefore one of each was a wise choice.  They were designed to share.  We ordered the Tartufata which consisted of mushrooms, rocket, truffle oil and parmesan.  It was delicious.  They were very generous portions, you could easily feed three people with one pizza.  The other pizza was Gratinata - 'Fior Di Latte, eggplant, tomatoes and bread crumbs'.

One of my favourite desserts was Tiramisu, layers of lady fingers dipped in coffee with mascarpone cheese.  It was finger licking good.  Restaurant was filled to capacity, but the service remained attentive.  It was a great experience and once again I enjoyed dining at +39.

Have you ever wondered why it's called +39?  Well it's the international code you would dial if you were to make a call to Italy, what a smart idea!
