Another nice find down Dulwich Avenue. I think I am in love with this area.  There are so many nice cafes which I didn't know about, and now I am discovering them all.

Rick and Kylie have opened up a little cafe down on Dulwich Avenue, with little shops on either side of the cafe.  As soon as we stepped into the cafe, we were welcomed by friendly staff.  We sat down on the plastic chairs and they were so comfortable.  Not many places offer a cushion to sit on.  These cushions were on every chair.  The breakfast menu was available to 11:30am on weekdays but all day on Saturday.  Lucky the lad said it was all cool to have the items on the breakfast menu, I was like yay!

A couple of coffees to begin with. They serve pretty good coffee.

It didn't take long before the food arrived, and the servings were very big.  They really didn't look like they came out of a little kitchen at the back.  What I am trying to say is that the presentation was excellent and looked like it came out from some 5 star kitchen.

Everything on the plate was fresh.  The beans on the veggie breakfast were delicious.  I remembered cutting open the yolk, and it ran onto the toast and wilted spinach.  Eggs cooked to perfection.

Look at the bagel, it was gastronomical.  A nice hand sized bread roll nicely toasted and filled with fresh avocado, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and goats curd.  It was the perfect combination.  I really enjoyed the way they cook the eggs.  It was fluffy and there was no buttery taste which I loved.

The servings were quite generous and we were full by the end.  Kylie and Rick were very welcoming and we certainly had a wonderful experience at Gillberries.  We will be back to try out some more from their menu, I just couldn't order everything this time.
