You can't not go to this restaurant if you're in North Adelaide. You certainly won't miss it either, there is a gigantic pink pig on the outside of the restaurant. It does look a little tacky on the outside, but the inside had been renovated. It extends out to the back where you can easily hold a private function. This year marks the 40 years that it has been around, so there's a lot of specials especially in the month of August. They are giving complimentary bottles of wine when booking for four or more.
This pig was located at the counter, I wouldn't call this one a cute pig. It has been there for a long time. I remember it from the first time I was there. One of their specialty dish is the pork ribs, freshly oven baked in a spicy sauce. I order this dish everytime I go dine there. Everytime you get given a bib, one of the friendly staff member would put a bib on you before the ribs arrive at your table. You have to eat the ribs with your fingers, so just in case if you get the sauce on your top. Now the bibs have a cute pink pig logo on there. It may look strange the first time you wear it, but don't worry everyone does it, it's better to have the bib than do have sauce over your clothes. However the servings seemed to have decreased in size. Nevertheless, the ribs were very tasty and there were plenty of meat stuck to the bones, so they filled up my tummy quite easily. The meat were so tender that most of the time, they just fell off the bones. An extra tub of sauce is always provided, but there's always so much sauce on the ribs that I found I didn't need to dip in the special sauce.

Next was the barramundi fillet, seasoned with spices from New Orleans. I am not sure how to describe this dish, it tasted a little weird to my liking. I am not sure if it was just the cajun or not. I have had cajun but a lot of times it was with chicken and it seemed to be fine. I could say that I didn't quite enjoy eating it.
On the other hand, the lemon and pepper white bait was delicious! They were fried to golden brown, and the batter was dried but when I bit into it, the white bait were very tasty and sweet to eat.
I am very surprised that this restaurant is rated so low. The food is really not bad. I wouldn't call it too pricy. They have introduced special menu for $20, they are daily specials which are decent size serves and will definitely fill your tummies.
