There are a few restaurants in the Adelaide Casino, I particularly like this one. It has been renovated for a long time now, only situated right on the corner of North Terrace and Station Road, it is right above the train station and next to the main entrance of the Casino.
I have been to this restaurant several times. I always come out of this restaurant feeling satisfied.
The menu was quite nice, with a wide range of dishes to choose from. The specials are always worth trying. The wine list was not so extensive, but there were a few nice wines on the list and not very pricey either.
Oysters are always a good entree to have. For me I like to have natural oysters. All the oyster kilpatricks are not my type of food, as the sauce and toppings just overwhelms the natural taste of the oyster. These oysters were so fresh, a squeeze of lemon and straight into my mouth. They were yummy!
I normally wouldn't order chicken breast as my main course, always scared that it would be overcooked and too dry. This chicken breast was neither, it was cooked so beautifully and juicy. It had my favourite broccolini as well. Next was the special lamb rack with lentils. I like my lamb medium. The meat was so tender and it was succulent. Pretty awesome I say. The pork belly was very tasty too. The skin was so crispy that when I put into my mouth, it cracked. One of the best pork belly I have eaten. Last but not least, the duck. The meat was full of taste, and the wedges were cooked in duck fat, delicious!!!
We had a beautiful dessert, vanilla covered in pistachio praline, topped with sorbet. It was a very nice way to finish off a meal.
This restaurant is worth going to, everything is reasonably priced. I hear that they have a new menu, and I can't wait to try it out.
