PJ O'Brien's

We went to P.J. O'Brien's for Friday after work drinks.  This pub is located on East Terrace, it didn't really look like a pub outside.  We have been here for functions upstairs, with the balcony overlooking Rymill Park.  We also went there a few times for lunch.  There are always lunch specials available.  This time we were there just before happy hour started.  Beers were not expensive,  $5 for a pint of beer. You can't get better than that.  We sat down at the bar for beers, and enjoyed some fat chips for less than $10.

Fantastic pub food !!

We hadn't plan to eat dinner there, but the menu caught our eyes.  There were $10 T-bone steaks. You can't go too wrong with that.  Steak was cooked to medium.  The fat chips were crunchy and not salty.  $5 pizzas everywhere.  The beef and guinness pie not only looked amazing, but the beef inside was just so tender and chunky.  The mash potato was nice / creamy and the gravy with the mashed potatoes were very nice to eat.

The Irish stew was very tasty.  Meat with veges were baked in a crunchy cob roll.  The cheese melted on top and by the time the dish arrived at our table, cheese was oozing out of the bread roll.  It was delicious.

We had a great time at PJs.  It is a great place for after work drinks, with nice meals that are well priced.  The pub food is of high standard, and yes I would go back again.
