Regattas Bistro

We have been here for dinner and a couple of functions.  This time I would like to share with you my experience at this restaurant for breakfast.  Overlooking the River Torrens was this beautiful restaurant, very relaxing and certainly classy.  We went there on Sunday morning and were welcomed by two friendly staff members.

Yummy museli with fruit compote

The coffee was quite alright, cups were definitely pretty.  I loved the handles as they were very easy to hold and drink.   The menu wasn't very extensive, but enough for us to choose from.

Poached eggs, smoked ham and sautéed spinach had a great presentation. I thought the hollandaise sauce wasn't up to standard, and the ham was a little bit dry.  However, the Greek yoghurt with fruit compote, granola and KI honey not only looked appetising, it was delicious.

Chocolate croissant was warm and crispy.  Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, and toasted bagel was a very good combination, topped with a balsamic glaze.  I thought the dish needed some more greens.  Finally there was the big breakfast with eggs, smoked bacon, breakfast sausage, roasted tomato, mushrooms, sautéed potatoes and toast, nothing to fault that breakfast.  All were very tasty.  The price was pretty reasonable, with the lovely view of the River Torrens, overall a pleasant experience.
