Jolleys Boathouse

This was not the first time we dined at Jolley's. This time was for a special occasion, Valentines Day. Located on the riverbank of River Torrens was this beautiful restaurant, there was a upper level for function and of course being Valentines Day, downstairs was full of tables for two. There were 3 entrees, 3 main courses and 3 desserts to choose from.

Relaxed Riverside dining

Everything was pre-booked as you would have guessed. They were very busy that night. We sat down at our table, had a look at the menu and it was a while before we were served. That didn't bother us, as the restaurant had a beautiful view of the River Torrens.  We saw a lot of people running by. The ambience was great apart from the odd number of flies that came in.  There were people sitting at the tables outside so the waiters had to keep opening and closing the door everytime when food was served. We had the figs salad and seared scallops for entrees, twice cooked duck breast and crispy skin barramundi. Duck breast did not look appealing, however it was delicious, the best duck that I've had. The barramundi was cooked to perfection, and yes the skin was very crispy. To finish off we had the chocolate with raspberry sorbet and passionfruit semifredo, both were not too sweet and very delicious. The servings were not big, but our tummies were satisfied at the end of the night. Good quality food with great ambience. Highly recommended, 5 out of 5 daisies.
