House of Chow

If you are after authentic Chinese food, then this is NOT the place for it. A big group of us went there on a Saturday night for our Xmas function. Apart from the aquarium downstairs that looked pretty, the function room upstairs was pretty average. There was no prawn crackers served. We sat there waiting and an hour later the first dish came out, crab and sweet corn soup was not very nice, sambal morton bay bugs were tasteless, cantonese spare rubs were ok, crispy duck was not so good, sticky date pudding was hard, the times between the courses were way too long, the whole banquet took us almost 5 hours. Some people couldn't wait for dessert to come out and left, they took way too long. I definitely would not recommend having banquet at this restaurant, there are others out there which are better.
